About the Artist
In the beginning
Rhiannon Englert's artistic journey ignited during her early years when she found enchantment in Bob Ross' "The Joy of Painting,” an alternative to the usual cartoon fare. Hailing from southwest Kansas, she wholeheartedly embraced drawing and painting throughout her formative years, proudly showcasing her creations in school exhibitions since kindergarten. While she ventured into local and regional competitions during high school as a predominantly self-taught artist, her adult life initially veered toward a more technical path.
Navigating the waters
Rhiannon initially channeled her keen eye for design and organization as the owner/editor of her hometown newspaper. Her journey then took her to Manhattan, Kansas, where she embraced diverse roles, including software solutions design, project management, and team leadership, all while pursuing her bachelor's degree online. However, as time passed and Rhiannon reflected on her professional path, she came to the realization that the artistry she once held dear had gradually taken a back seat.
A transformative shift
In February 2020, with unwavering support from her husband Kai, Rhiannon made a life-changing decision. Leaving behind the software industry, she revamped her home office into an art studio, reigniting her passion for painting. Serendipity led her to Milan Art Institute’s Fine Art Mastery Program that summer. Here, she mastered technical skills in drawing, oil painting, and mixed media, while also nurturing her unique artistic voice and crafting a standout portfolio. The program didn't stop at the canvas; it equipped Rhiannon with business and marketing acumen, setting the stage for her remarkable journey as a professional artist. This program's timely intervention became the guiding light that propelled Rhiannon's artistic career to new heights.

Her wellspring of inspiration flows from life's experiences, bolstered by the unwavering support of her cherished family and friends. In her creations, she skillfully intertwines contrasts, harnessing the luminosity of
celestial skies, the radiant embrace of sunlight, and the enchanting glow of orbs and fireflies. Every piece she crafts is steeped in depth, vibrant hues, and tactile textures, manifesting as meticulously detailed visuals.

The creative space
Rhiannon's artistry thrives within her spacious home studio loft, adorned with the hues of her work. Here, amid order and warmth, her four canine companions find comfort by her easel. Beyond painting, Rhiannon and her husband share a love for travel, concerts, fitness, and supporting collegiate and professional sports teams. Amid these shared passions, they also find joy in ongoing home projects, nurturing both their surroundings and their boundless connection.
Embracing future paths
Since embarking on her artistic journey, Rhiannon's creations have adorned the walls of various galleries in Kansas and reached an international audience through an exhibition in Greece.
Her artistic palette stretches beyond animals, embracing a range of diverse imagery. A dedicated lifelong learner, she is eager to experiment with novel materials and techniques.
