Early in my Greek art retreat, we did a plein air oil class, setting up our painting stations around our poolside hotel courtyard and choosing a nearby building to paint. This nextdoor home was one of my first sights as I walked out onto my balcony each morning. I loved seeing subtle unique features in Greek architecture, like how most roofs had an upwards-pointing triangle at each bottom corner. I played up the peachy color of the home and added a few creative liberties like the bird and some extra botanicals in front.
